Easy Pizza
Who doesn't love homemade pizza? I'm not talking about that frozen-pizza-dough-with-simple-tomato-sauce-and-sausages pizza... I'm talking about freshly made dough and awesome sauce with extra toppings pizza...
So, here are the steps to a great pizza night...
- Get big bowl and mix 500-600 grams flour with 1.5 tablespoons salt. This is good for 3-4 pizzas, depending on how thick you like your dough (pic 1)
- Dissolve fresh yeast in a cup of warm water. 25g yeast for 500g flour. Toss it in the bowl and start mixing (pic 2)
- Add more water until the mixture is easily knead-able. Add more water or extra flour if needed (pic 3)
- Form it into a small ball, and top it with some extra flour (pic 4)
- Cover the bowl and let is rest in a warm area (perhaps next to a radiator) for at least an hour.
- See it rise to awesomeness! (pic 5)
- The good thing with pizzas is that you can add pretty much anything you like. But for the sake of this recipe, I'll show your the steps for an awesome tomato sauce.
- In a deep saucepan add a teaspoon of olive oil, and some finely chopped onions (pic 7)
- Add half a box of tomato puree (good for one pizza), 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon sugar, 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce and a pinch of dried basil (pic 8)
That's it. All you need to do now is open the pizza dough into round dishes, add sauce and your favorite toppings. Always remember to use mozzarella cheese to make this stick together. If you choose to use another cheese, make sure it melts to death...
Pop each pizza in the oven for 15-30 minutes, always depending on how thick your dough is. I like my pizzas wafer thin, so it only takes around 10-15 minutes to bake.
Now, as a bonus, you can use anything to make an awesome pizza. I like to use different sauces instead of just Tomato. So I usually make three pizzas each with different sauces. One is always tomato for the die-hard pizza fanatics. Another variation is to use barbecue sauce (pic 9). And last but not least, you can use creme fresh and mix it with onions and bacon and create the best flambee pizza.
